I was beginning to wonder if you had managed to get one in the end. (I guess
it wasn't from OSPS!)

My M2000 seems OK in this respect so far. I have had to soft reset a few
times, but no more than I did with the Jornada previously.

Not had this (yet). However, the screen icons in "spb pocket plus" do not
control the brightness correctly.

I only get crackle on my SE HBH-65 when I have connected and then I press
the headset button, it goes away if I press the button again. If I leave it
there is no crackle ever. On an incoming call there is no crackle when I use
said button to answer.

Which software do you use to voice dial. I am using Microsoft Voice Command
which is fantastic. Could be the Geordie accent that it likes! It asks you
if it is correct before dialling. E.g. press button on handset - beep - say
"call home" (where home is an entry in the phonebook) - it responds "home,
correct?" - say "yes" (must be in an upbeat, jolly manner!) and the phone
dials (you do not need to train it either - anyone can use it). Even works
in my noisy diesel Picasso!

Mine is 3500 too and I am sticking with it for now as it "don't seem broke"
However, I don't think my voice dialling goes through the headset, it goes
through the handset mic. Also, my Nokia had a bluetooth range that let me
get out of the car and open the garage door, this one loses connection as
soon as I am about 3' away. Bluetooth connection is also lost if the phone
goes into standby for about 10 mins. Not an issue though as it is on charge
in the car and switched on all the time when the headset is in use (no I
don't wear it in IKEA, even though I am thirty-odd! - see previous posting).

So what kind of deal did you get in the end then?
Also, I must admit I have not used the keyboard at all, even though it is
user friendly.
