I have an O2 XDA IIs running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.

I cannot establish a PPTP VPN from my PDA to my work environment. I am able
to successfully surf the Internet via GPRS on a "My ISP" connection.

I have set up an "My Work" VPN connection that uses PPTP, have specified a
vpn server name, have specified userid/domain, and have kept the password
blank for entry when the connection is attempted.

When I launch the "My Work" VPN connection, the "My ISP" connection is first
successfully established, and then the VPN connection is attempted. I am
prompted for my password, and, after entering the same, the connection
fails.

I noticed an interesting thing that might have something to do with this. If
I choose to save my password in the "My Work" VPN connection settings, with
say a 5 letter password, reflected by ***** in the password screen, if I
come back to the settings after exiting the screen, the same password is
reflected by ****************. Not sure how the extra stars get there.

Could it be that this is causing the connection to not succeed and that I
need to do somethign to turn it off?

Appreciate your help!

- Sandeep
