Okay, I tried to do this, and really attempted to follow the
directions. I had my Dell Axim connected to my desktop PC via
Microsoft Active Sync. I was able to download the update above to
the desktop on my PC, and I was able to unzip the files, but when I
tried to install, I got the message that it would only work on a
Dell Axim X30 device and thus it would stop installing. I made sure
my Axim was connected, which is was. It is listed in the Systems
information as an X3, although I thought this was an X30 device.
Any suggestions? Thanks for your previous help.
If the installer says your device isn't an X30, I'd be inclined to
believe it, so quite likely you actually have an X3. If you bought it
used, maybe it was mis-described. What processor does the system
information say you have?
Unfortunately if you have an X3, there's no update that will give you
WMP10.
