Just to apply a minor correction, WME isn't actually a streaming
server. It can encode an audio and video file, and stream it to one or
more (up to 5 by default) clients.
But you won't be able to use it to random-access a chosen file -
anything you set up to 'stream' will be sent and that's it : No
playlists, no stream selection etc.
i.e It can't "browse for you" to a selected file, then stream it.
The stream sources are fixed when you start the encoder.
It plays files in the encode source list sequentially (unless you use
VNC or terminal services client to change the source by clicking on
the encoder program on the PC)
