The easiest way, IMHO? Get a copy of REsco Explorer, map the My Music
drive, go to options on resco and celest Show Network in root of device,
then use any music player (MP, betaplayer, etc) to access the music
directly. There is other software that will allow mapping to be visible to
all programs as well.
The second way would be to use a uPNP music sever (such as TwonkyVision,
MusicMatch etc.) on the machine with the music and a client on the PPC to
access and stream the music. But so far the uPNP clients (Nevo, Nero's
Showtime, intel's PPC client, etc ) tend to be bloated in memory and not
exactly really stable. Still, with a little work you can get them working
satsifactorily enough.
