I don't use .NET languages, so I'm not the best source of info. But
Microsoft provides very little support for Java in any form (Java, J#,
...).

If you are going to use functions (like the bar code scanner) unique
to the target device, then you will probably want to use the SDK
provided by Symbol, and that may restrict your choices.

I looked up the MC9000 on the Symbol web site. That site says it
includes Windows Mobile 2003. I _think_ that includes CF 2.0 (the
mobile run-time for .NET 2). And if it doesn't, I'm slightly more
certain it can be downloaded.
