I unloaded every mobile device SDK and tool I could find then re-installed them in the following order:

eVC 4.0
evC 4.0 SP4
Pocket PC 2003 SDK

... re-trying the *.vcw file after each of the above tools was installed. Interestingly, the crash does not occur until after I have installed the Pocket PC 2003 SDK.

I'm running Windows 2000 with all the updates.

A search on Google and this newsgroup reveals that I am not alone. Does anybody have a repeatable, deterministic solution for this?

Hello,

EVC4 (latest SP) is very buggy. I experienced many (and random) crashes like this when performing trivial tasks, like "save files" or compiling. I dont think that there are a fix for this, so you may resign :(
