Re: wavOutWrite - nasty click

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I suspected that it was a sound driver issue. A friend who has a Dell Axim 3
has the sound-click problem and he tried getting latest drivers from the
Dell site...made no difference :( Interestingly, when he mutes the device
and plays a wav file he still gets the nasty clicking sound, the wav file
itself does not play (as you'd expect on a muted device). I guess this
confirms that it is a driver issue.

I'm convinced that if I tell customers of mine it's a driver bug on their
device I'll just get an angry response. I've already had one customer
asserting that it is only my software that exhibits these undesirable
noises.

Ho hum....what can you do?
