Our SDK works with VB.Net on a PocketPC target, but nothing we have works on
the desktop as you discovered. We're considering building a version that
does but the question comes up of whose bluetooth stack to sit on top of -
Microsoft or Widcomm or somebody else. Since they're all very different
under the covers it's not an easy call. In the meantime the only options I
know of are to use the free Microsoft API (documented on MSDN in various
places, but not all that easy to understand, and it doesn't even support all
the "standard" bluetooth functions), or buy the Widcomm desktop SDK for
about $1300, which is also not that easy to understand.
