If you're interested in just displaying a single character or handful of
characters that aren't available in the fonts on the device, then you should
look at EndUserDefinedCharacters (EUDC's).
With an EUDC you can use the EUDCEdit app on your XP desktop machine to make
custom font file with the whatever you want for characters in the 0xExxx
range. You can turn them on when your application starts, and remove it
once your application exits.
