Since you're using ActiveSync to make the connection, not the network, you
should be able to simply connect to the device from VS.NET 2003 Pro or
higher (if you don't have Pro or better, you can't do device application
development). You'll need to install the SDK for Pocket PC 2003SE, which
you can download from Microsoft, if it didn't come with VS2005 (I can't
remember). Of course, when you installed VS.NET 2003, you also needed to
install the Smart Device development components...

OK, for VS.NET 2003, things are different. For that, you need to use the
Smart Device Authentication Utility. There is a piece on the PC side that
plugs into the Tools menu on Visual Studio and a piece on the device

With H9500 (win mob 2003SE) I have an APP with C# VS2003.
I have the last service pack for all (VS2003sp1): software
development + operating sytem.
Pocket work well, it has 80211b, I have configured IP fixed for my
lan. From this point of view it's all ok.
In VS2003, I tryed to configured manualy the connections wih IP of
PPC, but nothing.
VS2003 say me: impossible connect device (no more else)

I have an other machine, with only difference ActiveSync 3.8
In this machine I can work normaly (i can debug APP with VS2003),
But I would not want use a PC for any PPC.

With AS 4.5 I can work normaly, but i can't debug APP for 1

I have an APP with VS .NET 2003 C# that i can't upgrade in VS 2005.
I have installedActiveSync4.5 (i have upgraded previousActiveSync

Now if I try to debug my app, VS can't connect.
