Hi,
Do you have an existing partnership on the device? You may have to delete the partnership on the PC as well. These are each controlled in ActiveSync on the PC and Pocket PC respectively. On the PC use File - Delete Partnership. On the Pocket PC, launch ActiveSync and you can delete it there.

ActiveSync quit syncing my HP iPAQ rx1950 PocketPC running WM5 (5.1.1702).

No errors are displayed on the device. Windows Firewall says its off and I
uninstalled ZoneAlarm a few weeks ago trying to solve this problem.
