Cannot remove my previous device

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi ,
Got anew iPaq and my previous is broken, does not do anything anymore.
Now connecting my new device, the wizard asks for a new name, as the
previous (iPaq01 ) still exsists.
I am not able to synchronise to anything, cause all is occupied by the
previous device.
But I am not able to delete it. I cannot find it in the registry and I have
removed and reinstalled Active Sync completely.
So what can I do to let my desktop forget I have ever owned a device in the
passed?
Any suggestions are welcome,

kin d regards,

Eirk Visser
