Re: Slow response of phone

Raj,

Thanks for your clarification.
I indeed was able to empty the calendar database.
It turned out however that there was much more wrong with the phone.
I had a very poor battery performance (one day) even with the brand new
battery
So I decided to do a hard reset.
Now the phone and the battery performance is as new

Hi,

Are you not able to access the Calendar sync settings under ActiveSync on
your PC (click Tools-> Options -> Select Calendar and click Settings).
That way you can set filters on the amount of appointments that should
sync to your device. Assuming you want to clear all appointments on the
device, you can simply set the Past week and Future week dates as 0 and
sync.

To speed up things first you might want to check the amount of free memory
that is available on your device. If it isn't sufficient, you might need
free some of it by removing some installed software or removing large
files (if any).

the response (time) of my (aged) motorola MPX220 is getting worse day by
day. clicking away a reminder of a meeting takes ages.
If 2 or more reminders a displayed clearing them is almost impossible.

I'm suspecting the size of the appointment database????
Is there an easy way the purge this database without
removing the original data from outlook.
Can this be done through a ActiveSync option I haven't found yet

Any other suggestions as to what can be done to speed up things again ?
battery was just recently replaced

I use ActiveSync4.5
