Ok - a WM5 means the issue is tricky since it will remove content from the device if it isn't selected as an option to select. Pre-WM5.0 devices used to leave the data alone even if you disable the information type that was when the article was written. Let me see if I can think of a workaround for this scenario. Give me some time.

I did a back-up, when I remove the partnership it removes the e-mail from the
device, good call on the back-up, I now have it restored.
