ok, well if you plug in USB then you don't need that, but can you tell me
what happens? Do you get a crash in the "Windows Mobile-based device
connectivity" (rapimgr) service? If not are there any event logs in the
event viewer? Does the device create a node under Portable Devices in the
device manager when you plug it in?

Nope.. Didn't work.. :(

I changed the value to COM1, but still nothing's changed.. ( Btw My Device
connects via USB.. should the value not be set to USB, as opposed to COM1
? )

Anyway, if you can just provide me with just enough information to be able
to browse my device via Windows Explorer, I will be very grateful..

Yes, _proper_ support for Windows CE. As far as I know, it isn't
supported
in
the current version, and I need it very urgently. The primary purpose
of
my
PC, is just to use to develop for a Win CE 4.2 .NET Device, with VS
05,
and
if I can't get it to connect properly,.. then I 'm thinking of
reverting
back
to XP..

All I need to know is if it's going to be a long time till this
feature is
going to be added, so I can know whether the downgrade is going to be
feasible or not..
