Hi,
In order to sync with Exchange, your network administrator needs to setup
your account to support synchronization. Also, there are settings for
Exchange to allow any user to sync with it. The Q does not use OWA to sync.

I am Verizon customer and just switched to a Motorola Q after using a
Blackberry 7250 for several months. On the Blackberry I was able to
easily configure the Blackberry Internet Service to pull down my email
from my company's Outlook Web Access account. (It was coming down when
the device polled every 10-15 minutes, but I didn't mind...)
Now, I have the Q, and I have had nothing but problems trying to get
any kind of syncing working right. I downloaded ActiveSync 4.2, and
like other users I've seen, I can sync files on my PC fine, but cannot
connect to the Exchange Server, despite the fact that I have Outlook
open and am VPNed in to my corporate network.
I also have Verizon Wireless Sync PC Monitor running, which seems to
pull down some emails (of course, only when the PC is on and Outlook is
open).
I know that the Q needs to have the AKU2 update to do direct push. I
downloaded the Motorola updater and it says there are no updates for my
Q - which I would assume means the AKU2 is on my Q?
I bought the Q based on the promise of direct push since it is slimmer
and sleeker than the Blackberry 7250. I hope I didn't make a mistake.
So, if anyone can please help me get direct push or at the very least
getting ActiveSync to acknowledge the Exchange server, that would be
great.
Thanks!
.
