Samsung Blackjack does not sync on Vista RTM x64

I just bought a Samsung blackjack, and I cannot get it to sync with my PC. I did some scrounging around online and found that there's a mobility center beta 3 for Vista. I installed that and that didn't make any difference when trying to sync my blackjack. However, now when I plug in my older Audiovox 6000 the device manager trips off and then active sync seems to start (though it would appear that its only good for one go before active sync stops working).

I'm at a complete loss -- any help would be much appreciated.
