Have you tried deleting the partnerships under AS on both the PC and the
PPCs and trying to re-establish them from scratch?

I upgraded from ActiveSync 4.0 to 4.2 as required to support the latest
Dell X51v rom upgrade and as a result I lost the ability to sync with two
WM5 devices: a Dell X51v (ROM A12) & a Pharos GPS 525 (a.k.a HTC
Galaxy/Qtek G100). The Dell I was able to restore to functionality by
going into the settings under connections -> USB to PC -> and unchecking
"Enable advanced network functionality". The Pharos unit has no such
check box to undo so it remains unable to connect to ActiveSync 4.2. A
Dell X50v running WM2003 connects and syncs to 4.2 with no problems as
well.
I don't think that I should have to choose between using 4.0.and not
syncing the Dell X51v or using 4.2 and not syncing the Pharos unit just
because the new Dell rom required me to upgrade to the newer version of
ActiveSync. Before the rom upgrade of the Dell, both units worked just
fine under 4.0. Therefore, I don't think it's a firewall issue. Besides,
I disabled my firewall and still no luck. To me it seems that 4.2 is
responsible for breaking my ability to sync!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
