Yes, that list from below is the list of services that shows up on the Q
under "Bluetooth Manager". Is there a way to cross-reference this list of
services being provided on the PC?
Yes, I have a grey ActiveSync icon in the system tray on my PC.
On the PC, I've made some progress in that I now see an incoming port on
COM10 and an outgoing port on COM6 when I look in the "COM Ports" tab of
Bluetooth devices. Still, under devices -> Properties -> Services, only
"Serial port (SPP) 'Generic Serial' COM6" is the only service listed.

I guess I'd have to see it on your device. When you partner with the PC
*from the Q*, you're getting that list of services provided by the PC? The
PC is running ActiveSync (it shows its grey circular icon in the system
tray)?

Ok, I deleted everything and rediscovered...
Under Bluetooth Manager on the Moto Q, I still don't see Activesync as a
service. Should I see it here? If so, what do I need to do on the PC
end to fix it? This is What I see:
A Hands-free
B Personal Network
C Stereo Headset
D Keyboard Input
E Settings

You'd see the ActiveSync service listed on the phone when setting up
which services of the PC to use. When you get that done, I think that
you have to create a new incoming serial port on the PC and set up
ActiveSync to allow connections via that port (you *do* have to set up
AS to connect via that port; it's just a question of whether you need to
manually create the new port).
It should not lock up scanning for services from the phone. If
necessary, drop the partnership and go back to the beginning. Set up
the PC to be discoverable and use the phone to discover it. Step from
there. (Yes, I did this last night).

I cannot sync my Moto Q over Bluetooth with Activesync 4.2. It works
over USB, just not over Bluetooth. The two devices recognize each other
on the Bluetooth network.
On the Moto Q, under Activesync -> Menu -> Connect via Bluetooth -> Add
i can see my pc in the list. When I click add, the Moto Q sits forver
saying "Checking services..."
On the pc, i can see the Moto Q device listed in the Bluetooth devices
window. The only service I see under Properties -> Services is "Serial
port (SPP) 'Generic Serial'. Is there supposed to be an active sync
service listed here? Under the COM Ports tab, i can add an outgoing
port, but not an incoming port. Does that have anything to do with
anything? I've tried adding/removing the outgoing serial port to no
avail. I've also tried enabling/disable the "Serial port (SPP)
'Generic Serial' service to no avail.
Any ideas how to fix? Thanks!
