Re: Can not sync email folders

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Chris,

forgot to tell you, that neither the folders or the mails are being deleted
on the pda, after the return to only UNWANTED MAIL.
I am using Norton Internet Security and have made the appropriate
adjustments to the firewall.
And I have, yesterday, been running the scanpft.exe that found some errors
and corrected them, a second run found no errors.

Hi Chris,

I think it is absolutely marvellous that you are doing what you are doing,
so that we - the unprofessionals - can benefit from your endless sources.
Thank you for beeing out there!

I followed your suggestion to deselect mails in the AS option box,
restarted both the pc and pda, and then I've got the opportunity to choose
all my folders! BRAVO! And all folders, mails (approx. 4.500) and
attachments (1.500 on storage card) were sync'ed (took about 5 hours).
However, after a fresh restart, I can now only see the UNWANTED
MAIL-folder in the settings-box. Puh, back to square one.

Hi Kurt,
Thank you for your support. I have made it my objective to provide
support for free to users of Windows Mobile devices knowing that they are
complex devices. My discussion with you is just another example of this
effort to support users on a one on one basis.

Hi Chris,

I forgot to mention that I am very impressed of your deep knowledge of
these matters and of all the time you must invest in this newsgroup as
well as in your homepage (I have been reading both thoroughly in order
to grasp just a little of the difficult stuff you are talking about).
Thank you very much for that!

Hi,
Do you have an unusual characters in the name of the folders that could
be causing the problem?

Hi Chris,

I can only see 1 folder UNWANTED MESSAGES in the AS settings under
e-mails. However mails in the root of Outlook are being syncronized on
the Ipaq.
It is quite annoying as I am organizing all my mails in numerous
folders, and I have had no previous problems with Ipaq6515.

Hi,
Are you able to sync the Inbox folder which is the root of all
e-mail?

I have a Ipaq6915 sync'ing Outlook with AS4.2. However on the
contrary to my old phone Ipaq6515, I can only reach ONE folder:
UNWANTED MAILS, in the setup. Have tried to return to AS3,8, AS4,0,
AS4,1, and had even a onetime shot where all the folders showed up,
but that disappeared back to the single one UNWANTED MAILS.
I am using a Danish version of as well Outlook 2003 sp2 as
WindowsXP, sp2, so I changed the language of AS4,2 to danish, but no
luck. Then I ran the scanpst.exe which found some errors in my
PST-file and corrected them all. Still no luck and I can only see
the folder UNWANTED MAILS

ANY suggestions?

Kurt
