Hi,
Is ActiveSync on the desktop setup to connect to the internet. You can see
this setting in ActiveSync - File - Connection Settings. The default is
Auto. You may have to set it to The Internet.

Hi,
I have an O2 XDA Exec (a jasjar clone) Windows Mobile 5 device with the
Direct Push update.
This is synchronising successfully over GPRS and 3G to an Exchange 2003
SP2 server.
When I connect the device to a PC using a USB cable and ActiveSync 4.2,
the
device successfully connects and synchronizes the Notes and Files folders
with the local PC but
cannot synchronise with Exchange. The device reports the error 'cannot
connect with current connection settings'. The PC reports synchronisation
error 85002003.
Furthermore, Pocket Internet Explorer on the XDA Exec is unable to use the
connection to the PC to access the internet. Any attempt to open Pocket
IE
when docked results in "The page cannot be displayed because the
connection
was lost."
It appears that desktop pass through is not working but have been unable
to
determine why. I have disabled the Windows Firewall completely so can
eliminate this as a suspect.
Any assistance on this problem would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Warren.
