I take it back. Seems that was a WM2003 issue that has been corrected in
WM5. I can, via AS, connect to shared directories on my partner PC, and use
copy and paste to move files back and forth. I verified this with both the
built in explorer function and Resco 2005. Resco is a bit easier as it lets
you browse to mount a shared directory. With the built in explorer you need
to know the share name.

Other than files sync, no you cannot do this via AS. The mechanism
prevents you from seeing the machine you are connected to, or other
machines on your network. AS does not support the IP protocols required.
You can use AS for pass through http and ftp connections and use it to
establish a Terminal Service connection, but you cannot browse a network,
which you would have to do to upload and down load files via a file
explorer, built in or otherwise. You can connect to your network via WiFi,
making the PPC a peer on the network and then do up and downloads via file
managers.
