directpush/exchange activesync takes forever

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have an HTC wizard/tmobile mda. I have directpush and all set up. It
works most of the time, but it takes about forever for it to sync. I'm
timing around three and a half minutes between outlook on my PC seeing the
new message, and the pocket pc getting it (including sync time).

So I guess does anyone have any specific ideas about what to look at to
troubleshoot? Maybe KB articles or something?
