So, when you say "can't detect the device", you'll need to be a little more
specific. If you run Device Manager and look at the list of USB devices,
the PPC doesn't show up when it's plugged in, or it does show up? If it
does, does a new network adapter appear in Network Connections when the
device is connected or not? If it does, the problem is that ActiveSync's
icon never turns green and starts spinning or it does, but never finishes?
Have you tried ActiveSync 4.2beta?

You have deleted the partnerships on both PCs for the problem device? You
have soft and/or hard reset the PPC device?

Remember that, although you were right there when you did all these things
to try to troubleshoot it, *we weren't*. "killed what ever I need to kill"
has absolutely no meaning whatsoever to us.

Hi,

I have a HP h1930 and I have installed Activesync 4.1 on my machine
(window xp at home and windown 2000 NT at work). I had managed to sync my
data but then both machines suddenly can't detect the device. Like
everyone, I've tried very means. Done everything people suggested on the
web. Updated what I need to update, killed what ever I need to kill (plus
those I should kill!!!!) and re-installed Activesync million of
time...Still no luck. However, I have tried this on my colleague's machine
and it worked! So, I've kind of out of ideas and very frustrated. Can
anyone please advise?
