Something that it's doing is causing that error and it's a very severe
error. It could just be a corrupt DLL that's part of ActiveSync or even of
Windows itself, but it's easy to turn off syncing of various things and
harder to reinstall pieces, so that's usually where you want to start.

Paul,
I will check into the conduit by conduit approach. But, is that
necessary? The unit syncs fine...the error only shows when I remove the
PDA from the cradle. All items sync flawlessly.

Hmmm. What items are you syncing? It's happening during sync, right?
You might try turning off syncing on everything and see if *that* works.
If so, turn on the sync items one at a time until it fails again and then
investigate.

Paul,
Absolutely worked like a flippin' charm. Thank you!
The message is "WCESMgr.exe - Application Error...The instruction at
"0x73e68c30". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate
the program."
I attempted to fix this by running a repair install of AS, but did not
work.
Thoughts?

I think what's happened is that the window position saved by AS has
become corrupted, causing it to pop up, but just not on the screen (I
know, weird). Take a look in RegEdit at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services
for a value called "WCESMGR Windowplacement". The string value of
this, on my machine is:
0,1,-32000,-32000,-1,-1,403,252,769,562
You might try duplicating that value into your registry entry, if yours
is substantially different.
What error message?

Hello,
For the past 3 days my Dell Axim v50 and AS 4.1 sync fine, but the AS
Screen will not maximize. Nor, will it maximize when the PDA is not
cradled and I launch AS. What gives? Any ideas?
Also, whenever I disconnect my Dell AS puts out an error message. Has
this been happening to anyone?
I look forward to any replies.
Jason
