Re: MobSync installation issues

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi,
ActiveSync requires a user to have administrator access to write to the
registry. Since MobSync uses ActiveSync to connect it could be related.

Hi,

I'm trying to install MobSync 0.9.4 on a user's pc (Windows XP) that
doesn't have administrative privileges. The user has very few
privileges it seems, as I wasn't able to save files to C:\ (root). I
was able to write to the user's Desktop however.

My question is: does MobSync need certain user rights to be able to
work properly? It didn't seem to install properly at all, and when I
tried opening it (with ActiveSync 4.1 running), it wouldn't open and
give me an "invalid pointer" error.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

kenshiro
