Re: Multiple Partnerships with Single single user sign on

Personaly, I don't think this is an HP issue. I think it is an ActiveSync
issue. I have posted another thread in this group that outlines how to
reproduce this error using the Visual Studio 2005 emulator. I think we really
need someone from MS to step up to the plate here.

For more info, see my post with the subject "Multiple partnership problems
with ActiveSync 4.1"

THanks Raj, since I started this thread we found that same information on HPs
web site. I am hoping they fix this quickly. Thanks for your time!

Hi,

I had been working with another user on a similar issue. It seems he
contacted HP support and they have informed him that the the HX2000 series
having WM 5 do not have the capability to synchronize multiple iPAQ with the
same user profile and HP is working on an upgrade...

You might want to follow this issue up with HP. Will keep you posted if I
have something more to offer.

Yes, each device has its own device ID. They are not synced to Microsoft
exchange server and it happens whether or not an Outlook profile outlook
exists on the PC. (The computers are set to Multiple outlook profiles so
it
prompts them to pick a profile even though we are not syncing to server or
Outlook profile.)

Hi,

Have you changed the Device Id on these devices and kept distinct names.
To
access the Device Id, tap Start -> Settings -> System -> About -> Device
Id

I need some HELP. Our company uses Windows XP with a single user sign on
for
physicians. We just started using the new Pocket PC HP h2795 with
Windows
Mobile 5.0 and Microsoft Active sync 4.1. When we connect the first PPC
to
the computer and create a partnership, sync to desktop without Outlook
profiles, all works fine. When the next user then creates a partnership
and
all looks fine as well. When the first PPC user returns their device
back
to
the cradle, the device does not find a partnership and wants to create
a
new
one. (this did not happen when we had Windows Mobile 2003 devices with
active
sync 3.8 or 4.1. Each time a user puts a device in the cradle, it tries
to
create a new partnership. This is SO frustrating!

What causes this to happen? How do we save existing partnerships so
that
the
physicians don't have to logon as Guests in order to create a
connection
with
the computer? Creating a guest partnership on the computer is not an
acceptable work around for this problem.
