Has ANYONE got ActiveSync 4.1 to work with VirtualPC 7 (VPC)

Has ANYONE got ActiveSync 4.1 to work with VirtualPC 7 (VPC)?

The switch to TCP communications for AS 4.x seems to have killed the
limited VPC compatibility.

My VPC sees the PocketPC WinMobile 5.0, but it shows up as a generic
RNDIS network
device which 'cannot be started (Code 10)'.

Any hints?
