Re: Activesync not working on Qtek 9100 Mobile 5 device

Thanks. I am running XP. The DHCP client service status is as follows:

Started. Automatic. Local System.

I have tried restarting DHCP from here, but this did not make any
difference.

I don't see where you've said what OS you are running, but in XP, you open
the Computer Management applet from Control Panel | Administrative Tools.
Expand the Services and Applications item and choose Services. Find the DHCP
Client service and check its status...

Thanks for your reply. How do I check that the DHCP client service is
running on my PC? Sorry to be ignorant.

Hi,
Do you have the DHCP Client service running on the PC? It is required
so
the PC can accept an IP address from the Pocket PC.

My Qtek 9100 Mobile 5 device will no longer connect nor synchronise
with my PC. The two devices connected and sychronised one time only,
via the USB. Now the PC will not recognise the Qtek. (The Qtek
recharges from the USB socket of the computer without any problem and
it is functioning fine as a phone.) I have installed and uninstalled
and reinstalled Activesync 4.0 and Activesync 4.1 to no avail. And I
have checked and unchecked the various checkboxes in Connection
Settings. Soft resets of the Qtek have no effect. I sometimes get the
following error messages: "There is an IP address conflict with another
system on the network" and/or "Local Area Connection has limited
connectivity". Any suggestions for solving this problem will be
appreciated.
