that was it.. Yep I had installed 4.0 when I was trying to update
activesync. Using the log file as you suggested I actually found 9
other files including ceutil and rapi... that had not been broguth
back to version 3.8 anyway. I deleted them all reinstalled and it
works fine thanks a lot!! You know your stuff!!
