the devices address is 192.168.100.101. On the device, ppp_peer can still be
resolved to get the PC's IP address. On the PC side, there is no Network

When the device is connected on ActiveSync, it uses DHCP to get an
address. If the PC is not handing out DHCP addresses, then it will use
the normal defaults.

are no addresses involved!

I need the IP address for the PC, on the device, so what the device uses
to communicate with the PC. I need a way to manually find the IP on the
device.

You plug the device into the PC, and it uses IP addresses to
communicate.
Do you need the IP address in a program on the PC? Or in a program on
the device?
Do you need a manual (person clicking buttons) way of finding the
address on the PC? Or on the device?
Those four choices will have a different approach for each one.....

I have a software to run on Pocket PC that uses HTTP to communicate
with a server program on my desktop computer that active sync in
installed and I sync to. This other program requires an IP address. How
might I be able to find out the IP address that my Pocket PC uses to
reference my PC through the USB active sync?
