Hi Rob. thanks for the response and explanation.
It highlights yet again how far microsoft stick their heads up you know
where before starting to think about things- are they scared that they'll
catch something if they actually communicate with the grubby little
consumers(victims) of their lunatic programming and find out what people want
and how they use the programs before imposing some bug riddled half baked
piece of junk on a monopolised market.
The main reason for me getting a mobile PDA was not to have it plugged into
my PC constantly, kinda defeats the object of it being mobile otherwise.
I connect via bluetooth so don't get the benefits of USB cable charging.
My main gripe is more the memory wasted on it running itself, owing to the
novel way that the internal memory is set up, leaving relatively little free
for anything operational, and the lack of any user input into modifying this,
it seems completely stupid (ie typical microsoft) to constantly run a drain
on the memory which will only be used sporadically and for a short period
each day (or less frequently)
