If your PC is able to connect to the internet without a proxy (typical home
setup) than on the PC's ActiveSync "Connection Settings" set "This computer
is connected to:" to "The Internet". If your PC needs to use a proxy
(typical work) use "Work Network"

Can you give more detail on how you are going about this???
