Re: ActiveSync 3.7 / 3.8 unable to dial in remotely via RAS when PC networked

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the quick reply.

As long as the computer which accepts incoming modem connections from the
iPAQ's is stand-alone and not part of a network (or connected to a router
for that matter) everything is fine.

As soon as I attempt to connect that computer to a network to share other
office resources such as printer, ADSL modem etc. it throws off all
ActiveSync connections from the iPAQ when dialling remotely.

This happened about a year ago and ever since this particular computer has
been like a leper! :-)

I cannot connect it to the Internet to obtain Security Updates, program
updates etc. and I have lost a years subscription to NAV updates again
because I am unable to connect it to the Internet for fear of losing the
connection to the iPAQ's.

We have 10 iPAQ's throughout the country that regularly sync in to the
office and you can imagine the grief that is caused by their not being able
to connect.

However we have a need to connect this stand-alone PC to the network as
explained above and would dearly like to find a solution.

I am also being expected to implement our iPAQ system to other countries
this year and therefore need to sort this problem once & for all.

Thanks & regards,
-=pp=-
