Windows mobile 5/activesync4/bluetooth over ethernet

Hi All
I have just discovered to my fury that MS have removed the ability to
sync over wifi. This leaves me absolutely stuffed - my wife has a wm
2003 pc synced with our only conveniently accessible computer. I had
been planning to run activesync for my new wm 2005 device on an
inconveniently located computer and sync via wifi. But I now know I
can't.
My question is - if I get a bluetooth access point can I use bluetooth
to activesync with the inconvenient computer over my ethernet
network??? I am pretty confident that the answer is "no" but thought
I'd ask.
Kind regards
Chris
p.s. if anyone has any influence with the relevant MS people, please
use it to get them to reverse this stupid policy.
.
