Re: Active Sync not connecting

The only firewall is the Windows Xp firewall. The laptop can talk to the
internet. I've tried with the XP firewall
off and one.

I have a partnership with my work laptop working fine. I did the unbinding
of the NDIS since I was tying into a VPN situation to get it to work
actually while at home.

On my home laptop I connect into a linksys router via wireless to the
internet. I had AS on automatic when it asked this computer is connected to
(automatic / work / internet). I also unchecked QoS and Determinstic Network
items on it also.

The laptop's Activesync starts up the AS pop-up, shows "connecting", then
nothing. I've uninstalled and installed AS4 at least 10 times. I've run
through the repair steps in device manager. I can see the connection when
the ppc is connected, and I get a good usb connect beep. Just no partnership
of any type - guest or other wise. Best I can tell, no profile or
partnership starts up. I've read from your earlier replies your website link
and the MS troubleshooter, been there, done that. Still only "connecting".

Do I need to do a repair of Xp itself to try and make this thing work? It is
about the only other thing I can think of.
