Hi, everyone.
I've been very fortunate over the past couple of years when it comes to
ActiveSync, and haven't had any serious problems for a long time. That
ended today.
My system crashed and I had to reinstall Windows XP, followed by a
reinstall of Office XP (including Outlook, of course), and ActiveSync
3.7.1. I even went to Microsoft's Web page and downloaded 3.7.1 again to
make sure I had the latest version. (It's build 4034.)
I followed the same procedure I always do, first deleting the active
partnership (but not the synchronization folder), then following the
default steps to create a new partnership.
Now, in Options, Calendar, Tasks, Contacts, and Notes all say "Not
Installed" in the "Desktop Computer" column, and I can't synchronize them.
Outlook has folders for all four, and all four have content. But ActiveSync
doesn't seem to know they're there.
I uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSync. I ran an Office repair, both from
within Outlook and from the installation CD. Nothing helped.
Has anyone seen this? Anyone know how I can get it to work?
Thanks.
