Can't copy Word doc to PPC

    I have a HP iPaq hx4700, and I'm trying to copy a Microsoft Word 97 document
    to it. I'm using the current version of ActiveSync on a PC running Windows
    XP Professional SP1. I copy for Word file from the source on the PC, and I
    paste it to the directory where I want it on the SD card in the PPC. A
    window opens (Copy & Convert to mobile device format...) saying it is
    converting the document from Microsoft Word format to Pocket Word, and my
    computer starts roaring away. However, the file never finishes translating.
    The file is only 102Kb on the PC. This happens with any Word file I try to
    copy to the PPC.

    I have no problem copying Excel documents. Just Word documents.

    Am I doing something wrong?
