    I had done the registry hack prior to seeing this post. The hack worked just
    fine. :)
    It is the value for the Briefcase Path under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows
    CE Services\Partners\hex value (which probably varies based on
    machine)\Services\Synchronization. I would recommend creating a System
    Restore checkpoint prior to mucking with the registry.

    After seeing your message, I tried your recommendation but never got the
    notification.
    At any rate, I'm back up and running.
