coexistence of Sony ericson P910 and HPIPAQ

I have a client that have a Sony ericson p910 that syncs via USB contacts
etc. from Outlook.
He also have an HPIPAQ 1940 which runs our software.
The problem is when installing Activesync the Sony ericsson p910 sync
programs stops working. And when installing the Sony ericsson p910 sync
programs Active sync stops working.
The client claims that it worked with his Sony ericsson p900 he had earlier.
