  Hey Raj,

  I did the steps you mentioned below - didn't work - it shows like most of
the synchronization has been done and then it gives the error message -
actually when I ckech my desktop, only some of the information has been
synchronized - I have approx 2500 contacts - it only shows me 315 on the
desktop.

  Also, I got a SD card reader so I would be able to transfer the files
directly to my Desktop but the backup on the SD card is .dbk format. I got
the backup using the backup utility on the pocket pc. Is there any way I can
restore the files on my desktop directly..?
