This is my experience...
Firstly, the setup on the PPC must match to the setup of ActiveSync on the
PC.
For instance, in ActiveSync (PC), in Options -> Rules.. You can specify "To
use PassThru, this computer must connect to" Work or Internet.
If you select Internet here, your PPC should also specify Internet
(Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Network), and
vise versa
Work and Internet is making no difference unless you need the extra security
of a VPN connection which allow you to get thru your company's firewall into
the internal network.
