The best option for large files is to not use ActiveSync but rather a
memory card reader and copy the files accordingly.

In addition to manual copy options that are many, many times faster, you
can also use a pc based "file sync" program such as the one built into
XP to automatically manage files. I use, and recommend filesync from
http://FileWare.com

Note, the biggest task is to remember to extract your memory card from
the reader at the same time you grab your ppc.
