Remote Sync

I am new to the group. Read a bunch of posts and everyone seems to know
their stuff.

I did not see much clarity on remote syncing via the internet.

I have a friend who needs to be able to sync a few key programs while on the
road via a hotspot or a wireless access plan in the hotels he stays.

Any ideas?
