My PPC has hung 3 times in as many weeks and I have had to create a new partnership after each hard reset as it refuses to allow me use the original partnership. I have a Toshiba e330. PC is running windows xp, outlook 2002. I have activesync 3.7.1 installed. I have reinstalled activesync x several with no resolution of the problem.
Please don't post in HTML using flashy stationary - it takes much
longer to download, and quite a few people can't read HTML in their
news reader.
As for your question, you must create a new partnership after a hard
reset - the data it stores (what has and hasn't been replicated from
Outlook) is no longer valid. You can delete the old partnership via
File -> Delete Partnership. The only data stored in the profile is the
replication data mentioned above and any backups (the files are stored
under the My Documents directory and are not deleted or directly tied
to the profile - you can delete the profile, create a new one with the
same name, and the files in that directory will still be synchronized.
