There are two mail settings under Options
1) Send/Receive on starting OL
2) Poll for new mail every ** minutes (set it to 10)

Its also the case that an antivirus application intergrated with OL can
cause problems
BTW It helps if you give your version of OL

Currently I can only receive my incoming mail by clicking the
"Send/Receive" button. I can live with this, but was curious why that
task does not execute when I open Outlook (which it has done on all
other computers I have used). I checked the "Send/Receive::Settings"
and there does not appear to be anything that enables this feature in
there. I had just assumed it was a default setting. Any tips here would
be greatly appreciated!
