Re: No Ribbon with Outlook 2007

Thanks, Judy.....I see how it works now. I am just used to seeing the Ribbon displayed when you first open in all the other 2007 programs, so I was confused when this is not the case with Outlook 2007.

Milly is correct. The ribbon is in 2007 BUT only when you OPEN an Item. So open a Task, Contact, Email, Meeting and you will see a ribbon. It's just not on the base screen of Outlook where you still have the old fashioned File | Edit | View | go | Tools | Action | Help buttons.

Hi Milly,

I have a demo download of a Outlook demo, "DemoUptoSpeed.exe" which is available on the Office On-Line, and it does show the Ribbon, and talks about how to to use it. Why would they provide this kind of demo if in fact the Ribbon is not a part of the 2007 Outlook install?

Outlook 2007 does not have the Ribbon on its main interface. However, the individual items like new message, contact, task, all do have the Ribbon interface.

| Hi all, Vista Ultimate, x64, Outlook 2007

| When I open Outlook 2007 I am not able to get the Ribbon. It has the

| Is there a setting that I need to enable to be able to get the Ribbon
