Re: Outlook cannot open forwarded emails

Is the hyperlink displayed using a 'friendly name'? (i.e., "click here") Try inserting the hyperlink so the full url is visible in the message.

Are you using an antivirus scanner on outgoing email? Are you using HTML format or RTF? Is the recipient's contact set to receive plain text email?

When I try to create a basic hyperlink in Outlook using the globe icon
the html is stripped out of the email and a text mesdsage is sent.
This despite my sending an HTML formatted email. I try to open WORD
as my email editor and the crashes Outlook.
Any ideas are appreciated...thanks

My Outlook is just not happy for some reason. The latest thing it
does not do is that it doesnot open up forwarded emails. Forwarded
emails show up as attached files as an msg of course but when i click
on the msg they no longer open up. i have to send the email to my
hotmail account and open it up on that page successfully.

It cannot create hyperlinked words either. I cannot create a
hyperlink using a sentence. OH dear!

By the way I have Outlook2000 with updates to Outlook 2002. I see
that there is no product ID interestingly enough. 1 gig of ram XP
home.

Not being able to open .msg files is a common side effect of Google Desktop
Search. I'm not sure if telling it not to index .msg files is enough, most
people have just been removing the software.

As for not being able to create hyperlinked words, what exactly happens?
What steps are you trying and what is the result.
