I would like to still be able to send out messages using Outlook but I would
like to stop it from downloading all of that accounts messages into my
computer. is this possible?
In the send and receive settings, disable Receive for the e-mail accounts. Where to find that setting depends on WHICH version of Outlook that you use but neglected to mention. Go hunting in the settings for send/receive.
